Position: Senior Video Editor, SFG Productions

Department: SFG Productions/Marketing

Reports to: Senior Content Development Manager

Status: Full-Time/Exempt


Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Content Development Manager; the Senior Video Editor is responsible for leading and creating video features for various distribution channels, with a strong emphasis on narrative storytelling. Projects include short-form and long-form documentary content for web and television, as well as marketing promos & in-game entertainment.

Production Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the high level of quality that is expected from SFG Productions
  • Collaborate with producers/editors to write & edit videos for multiple distribution channels
  • Lead the edit on short-form & long-form documentary content
  • Manage projects from conceptualization to completion — ideation, storyboarding, scriptwriting, shooting, editing, graphics, color correction, audio mastering, delivery
  • Work closely with various internal departments to create and execute content
  • Address  feedback in an efficient & productive manner; deliver exceptional customer service
  • Develop ideas & storylines to promote company initiatives & brand
  • Provide support to SFG Productions as required by the Senior Content Development Manager


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Broadcasting preferred
  • High level of proficiency in Avid Media Composer & Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Avid Interplay media management a plus
  • Experience operating professional cinema cameras and Pro Tools a plus
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a professional production environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of editing processes, A/V formats, and compression
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience editing in a team environment
  • Familiar with baseball
  • Attention to detail & composition and a strong passion for storytelling
  • Experience working in a project-based environment with emphasis on meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and work collaboratively.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work unconventional hours
